Hi. I'm not a super game player and don't understand any of this Steam stuff. . please be patient and help me if you can! Been playing Skyrim with no problems with the actual game. This morning I clicked to play the game and got a pop-up with a banner that says "STEAM CLOUD SYNC CONFLICT" . I am given 2 choices: Download cloud file or Upload local files. It also says I must select one to play the game. I have no idea what any of this means! I don't know which one to select. I just want to play the game. Unless there is a reason I should know what this message is about, I don't care about the tech stuff. Thanks. Patti

This has happened to me recently as well. Unfortunately I don't know what to tell you. I'm able to ignore it and continue playing the game and it hasn't effected anything to date.

Depends whether the last time you played the game was on your current computer or a different one. If it's the same computer, upload. If it was another one, download.

Steam Cloud is sort of an online "saved game" back, but if steam happens to be down, or there is problems with cornecting it wont always run the backup.

A: this is the wrong forum. Should go in the Skyrim section or better yet somewhere on the Steam forums.

B: It means the game files on your computer do not match up with the ones Steam has. Likely you lost connection and kept playing so your save files are newer on your pc. It could mean you local files are corrupted. If you can't skip it (recommended as if the game plays, you know you just need to upload), then unless you've recently had a marathon session, I would download from Steam to be safe and risk losing some progress. I've had this happen in other games and never noticed anything.
