My Grandfather has died

Post » Thu Oct 25, 2012 4:41 am

Today, I have just found out that my grandfather has just died. He was a kind man who always seemed joyful and full of life despite his age. Unfortunately, he couldn't beat cancer. His funeral is tomorrow so I just wanted to tell people these news. :sadvaultboy:

My deepest sympathies to you and your family.

I also lost my grandfather this year to cancer, it is a horrible disease and awful to see how quickly a person withers away from it.

Cancer svcks. Both my mother and grandmother have had cancer but luckily they both pulled through and with each story I hear such as this one the gravity of what could have happened hits me even harder.

Sounds from the description that he had a full life and it is clear from this post that the people in his life loved him. I should really spend more time with my own grandparents.

You have my sympathies.

As is the way of life. We are born, we pay taxes, then we die.

I have no grandparents. One died from alcohol, another from straining a weak heart, another to old age complications, and the last to the same. It happens, it svcks, we move on.

Mine died earlier this year from a stroke, the second he had.. we were all pretty down by it but we've been moving on. I have a lot of memories with him though, so keep those in mind and just remember that it's part of life.. I had been hoping that mine would recover but it might have done more harm than good if he had considering the condition he was in.

Things are different without him though :(.

That's really too bad. Nearly all of my grandparents are already dead and I never had much contact with any of them, so I can't really relate. I hope everything works out for you though, I can only imagine how depressing this must be.

I'm very sorry for your loss, i lost my grandparents too and it's very hard to take, when our loved ones pass away we are reminded of the things that really matter in this life, each other.
