Sad to see "smile" and its variants have fallen off the league table! I bet that partner and/or pet names still top the list, though.

My HS's computer lab had a note on the wall that said "Password is password". Aside from the fact it is visable to anyone, I lol'd at the password!

Lack of imagination in passwords is pretty disappointing.

I remember one time when I was in school, the school admin's password was actually password1. Some childs changed his password and fiddled around with the admin settings. He weren't happy. Then again his computer knowledge was terrid. So swings and roundabouts I guess.

Of course Jesus is on there. He'll protect your account from intruders! I know so because he has a divine mandate!

Setting up strong passwords is easy if you have a process. If you try to do it any other way, it is easy to forget them. I use a phrase from a movie/book that I like, and just use the first letters of each word. The word is nonsense, but I can remember it. One guy mentioned appending the password with a code for the site or the app that the password is for.

For example, Too Err is Human, to Forgive is Divine would be teihtfid. Then add GM for gmail, so it would be teihtfidgm. This way every website has a unique password, and you don't have to remember the passwords, just the process to create it.

I use a universal prefix and suffix and append them to a (intentionally mistyped) name of the web site or something else I associate with it, mixing lowercase and uppercase letters and numerals.

Yea, I don't know why the forum screws up lists when you C&P them.

Still haven't figured out the best passwords to make for myself so i'll just screw with letters, numbers and special characters. F7K!EO)9SqP3 would probably be a decent password, but it might get cracked inside of 3 minutes. *shrug*

Except that second password is trivial to break using dictionary attack.

If it were four words in four different random languages, that would be a different story.

I was rather tempted to see if that was your actual password but then I thought CCNA can't be that dumb.......or can he?

I have a few different ones with number and letter capitalization differences. My most used base word is thankfully no where on that list.

Lol those are classic, my passwords are usually a phrase with numbers alternate symbols among them, or various words typed backwards. my best Password is a symbol/shaped form when typing a series of numbers, I don't even know the numbers, just the symbol ftw.
