Mamie! My helm looks like a copper teapot!

Hi everyone!
After almost a year of gameplay I'm still enjoying Skyrim, with its great story and world and its numerous bugs. For me is the best game I have ever played.
I wanted to write this topic for giving a weird suggestion to Bethesda Softworks:
What about doing a Skyrim Ultra enhanced edition with
- new Physics,
- very high definition textures,
- better facial and body animations,
- a lot of new characters and nps to populate Whiterun, Solitude and the othe little and big locations,
- a whole bunch of new side quests,
- yearly, monthly, weekly events (like our holydays, x-mas, harvest festivals, summer festivals) for every Hold and City,
- a new list of caster, melee, ranged fighting armors,
- naval battles,
- some lootable Ultra rare Epic item ( like it was Frostmourne in WoW: WotLK, even if it was not lootable) from a great boss,
- new lighting visual effects,
- new wildlife animals, that you can have as pets (what about an Eagle, an Hawk...)
In some years?
I mean, Skyrim is the best of the elder scrolls series, IMHO it would be a great pity to see it slowly going obsolete, particularly taking in consideration the growing perfomances (and possibilities) of the actual pcs and the new consolles that are coming next year.
It is very unlikely that it will ever happen, there are always new project to work on, like the Elder Scrolls online and maybe TES VI, Dishonored 2 and whatever, but Skyrim must endure. This game is imo too big to be let down.

I'm sorry, but what does your title have to do with your post?

I don't think Bethesda will ever do this, it would take away too many resources that could be used to make DLC or even other games. It would be a huge financial disaster for them to remake a game that came out just last year. Skyrim will go the way as all games games do, less and less people will play them until only a few loyal fans are left. It happened with Arena, then Daggerfall, then Morrowind, and when Skyrim came out it happened to Oblivion; it is inevitable.

Skyrim is not going to become obsolete. Not for many years. The 'mainstream' market will move onto the next big thing, but many an Elder Scrolls fan will stay with the game. The modding community will add anything they feel should be added, and the roleplayers will continue to make characters and tell their stories. People still play Daggerfall, Morrowind and Oblivion. I bet they're we're going to keep playing Skyrim too.

but nobody plays arena

Anyway couldn't agree with you more, skyrim can stand on its own and doesn't really need to be re-released

That said i will probably buy up all the content beth will sell for it

I'm sure they do ... They're just fewer in numbers ;)
And absolutely - once Beth releases DLC for PS3/I buy a new PC, I'll be buying every scrap of DLC.

Heck, some of us still play old Rogue too! I'd try Daggerfall (and maybe Arena if I found it) but it comes with so many caveats about setup and stability, I'm worried.

This is why I'm saving up for a pc. I want to continue to enjoy the game right up until the next TES game comes out. Even then I will prob play TES V until the modding community converts over.

Just a funny title.

I'm SURE they will never do this, as I already said at the end of my opening post, but hope never dies.
