Does anyone else think it would be cool to be able to become

Post » Sat Oct 27, 2012 12:52 pm

Like a vampire lord but with more perks like a thick skin perk, night eye, faster speed in normal form, ability to run on all 4 legs in beast form, better life detect and fear howl ability, ability to have three werewolves on your side or a couple of other alpha werewolves, and also it would be cool to be able to have a different fur color other than black or maybe white because white is kind of the usual alpha color (like the ones in fable or underworld). Also u would have cons such as being affected by a full moon (though when a full moon gets close u could drink some type of potion or maybe eat meat so u can have time to reach your house and get inside a room u are able to build and use as a "cage" until u turn back to normal after waiting in there.) also through a quest u could get a amulet that can prevent u from turning unwillingly by the moon. U would also be more weaker to silver since an alpha is a more pure form of a werewolf, you would look more wolf-like in normal form (like having wolf like eyes or being more hairy or having larger canines or something) which would equal to a stage 2 or 3 vampire but u wouldn't be attacked on sight by regular guards or civilians. Also every now and then u would be confronted by werewolf hunters who suspect u of being a werewolf. More vampire perks would have to be added to balance out the abilities. In order to become a alpha werewolf you would have to become friends with a werewolf clan in solstheim. A war between a werewolf and a werebear clan would be cool too.

Ok so what I'm seeing here is this:
-Better perks such as "thick skin perk, night eye, faster speed in normal form,"
-Better howls " better life detect and fear howl"
-Have additional packmates with you " have three werewolves on your side or a couple of other alpha werewolves"
-Different fur coloring "different fur color other than black or maybe white"
-Lunar transformation
-Temporary halting of the transformation via items or food "could drink some type of potion or maybe eat meat" "amulet"
-Weakness to silver
-Werewolf 'traits' present in human form "wolf like eyes or being more hairy or having larger canines or something"
-Stages like the Vanilla vampires, instead of guards its werewolf hunters "confronted by werewolf hunters who suspect u of being a werewolf"
-Become a clan leader in Solstheim.
-Possible war between werewolves and werebears.

There we go much easier to understand.

I'm not exactly sure that these even exist in TES lore...

If he's talking about Lunar transformations does he mean a traditional werewolf? Those are what I want.

With my list it should clear things up.
Anyways.

Agree:
Lunar transformation (definitely)
More Howls (more of an 'meh' thing it'd be nice though)
Werewolf hunters (would be nice instead of just the Silver Hand)
Customized wolf (would be ok to have)
Wolfish traits (would be nice besides the "is that fur" comment)
Weakness to Silver (if you mean in human form then that is ok)

Disagree/already done:
If you have DG then the extra packmates thing is already implemented.
A certain Ring (by lore) prevents lunar transformations so the amulet has no use.
We are already bad against silver but only in beast form.
Clan leader of Solstheim...I suppose it could work but still it seems that might over do it.
I don't see a war between werebeasts happening. Our lord would be unhappy (unless he starts it).

I pretty much agree with everything you agree/disagreed with.

Werewolves need more responsibility.

Agreed. So far the only Cons we have are the Silver thing and changing in front of people but even that is controllable.
We need more negatives to balance the positives. Consequences for our actions and such.

Dont you think werewolves are op as is? I can kill legendary dragons on master. Any more powerful, and you could kill a daedra lord.

Hence why we need more cons. Maybe like in Bloodmoon we have to kill someone to sate our inner beast or else we are weakened.
In large open areas we feel the need to chase down prey or something...

I personally think its fine as is. No pros or cons except maybe faster running speed and higher jumps in human form for pros. Same for vamps.

Maybe they can have a wild strand for those who want more cons.

Exactly. They are extremely over powered and need more draw backs.

I dont think it needs drawbacks. If they want drawbacks, let them put a wild strand for those who want more drawbacks.

I personally hope they move on to something completely new. Werewolves and Vampires were interesting but new content that hasn't been done before is always preferred.

I will be interested to see if they ever add or change perk trees from the vanilla game. while changing perks is fairly easy in the construction set it just isn't possible to add more perk trees.

I mean a shout tree separate from the 80 perks we get like the VL and WW trees.

That would be most favorable. More choices never hurt anyone.

Indeed, and it'd be nice to get new dialogue in the companions if you're already a WW.

Actually you do not get packmates in dawnguard, they are spirits. I think what the OA means is actually having living corporeal werewolf/beast form pack mates.
A werebeast war would be good as it can be a fight to prove who is worth hircine's favor.

It's still a similar concept except the DG ones are spectrals. It wouldn't make much of a difference if one was spectral and if one was fleshy, not unless they implemented something for that as well (fat chance).

That could work. Though I thought it was said Wolves were favored...I could easily be wrong on this though.

Werewolves are Hircine's favourite, so you're right.

As for Alpha werewolves, no thanks.
