Would be cool if we had our own inn.

Post » Sun Oct 28, 2012 6:50 am

Just an idea of mine, but i really want to own my own inn. If we get level 100 in speech, then we can buy our own meadery. And if we have hearthfire, we can build our own meadery next to our houses or near our houses no where near danger. We could have our own guards in the area and customize their armour to how we want them to look like. It would be pretty cool. And adventurers from around Skyrim came in for a visit and had a bottle of mead or wine. They can stay or leave.

If only Hearthfire was this good. Or maybe another dlc.

I think they would probably start off smaller, like being able to own your own stall/shop first, before adding in bigger pieces of property, like an inn. I don't quite know how the bartering with NPC's, or how the shop inventory would work. It would be nice to select what kind of wares you could sell to people - you could have an option to sell clothes, or an option to just fill the shop inventory with random items, like a General Goods place. It would cost a certain amount of septims to purchase the items in the first place, and this number would decrease the higher your skill level.

Inb4 someone links to a mod that does exactly what the OP wants even though they know full well that the OP is playing on a console and they just want to show off how awesome mods are.

Yes, it would be cool.

I'd quite frankly throw another fiver Bethesda's way if they did something ala Hearthfire but with Inns.

I would like to own an Inn. Your spouse should probably be the Innkeeper, and if you have Hearthfire installed, your children can be the servants.

What would happen if you pledged never to marry/killed your spouse gruesomely?

Maybe different skills could allow different businesses.

90 Speech = Inn.
90 Alchemy = Meadery
90 Smithing = Blacksmith Shop

You could operate them out of your Hearthfire home.

I'd love to be able to own an inn. I'd be happy to buy the Sleeping Giant Inn inn Riverwood and have my character live a peaceful life.

I LOVE this idea and the ideas you guys added. You should be able to name your own shop or inn and maybe your level or abilities could somehow determine the awesomeness of whatever is being sold. I'm sure that goes with what everyone's been saying already

What might be cool would be the ability to make higher-level investments in businesses with the Investor perk.
Invest 500 - More Gold.
Invest 3,000 - Part Ownership, you get 50, 75, or 100 septims/week (random, depends on how business is).
Invest 10,000 - Partnership, you get 300, 400, or 500 septims/week (as above).
You can invest in a total of six businesses throughout Skyrim. Businesses you invest in have a double share of extra gold, too.

Maybe in ES VI: Elsweyr (a guy can dream...)

It could be like a shop. But i dont know how npcs would be able to buy them. It would be understandable if it were mead and food.

I like this idea. But blacksmith shop would be weird. Thinking simple ideas that npcs can relate with.

Same as Hearthfire? Hire a steward-esque individual.

I too would like to own an inn/shop to a greater extent that possible in Vanilla Skyrim, since you'd have to marry a shop/innkeep to get the funds. pretty much stops at there.

I'd like to be able to own an Inn and have random travelers come in and stay.
I'd like to be able to come up with a recipe for Ale, Mead whatever and open a Tavern.
I'd like to be able to be a Blacksmith and have weekly orders for arms and armor.
I'd like to be able to write a book and see it in dungeons and have it be sold.

Yes, this is a great idea, I would like to own more than just a house, horse, etc.
