I'd ask the administrators/moderators this but i dont even know how to message them directly....

When i i read someone's post and it says something like "I don't give a [censored] about this and that" are they actually TYPING [c-e-n-s-o-r-e-d] or are they typing a bad word that is automatically recognized and turned into [censored] when posted for the public? Just curious. thanks

They're typing a word that isn't allowed on the forums and it is automatically censored.

They are not typing [censored]. Whenever you say something like (vulgar word for fecal matter), it gets turned into [censored].

Also, some things get rendered in strange ways.

Fan boy becomes really devoted fan, and In (not) Soviet Russia becomes I am not funny.

They're using a curse word that the forum automatically censors - this was discussed not too long ago in a trend of threads I started on asking Moderators questions. If you click my name and find my content, it should be Ask the Moderators a Question #3.. might be on page 1 or 2.

Then again, I actually didn't make that thread but still.. do some digging and you should find it. Or you could use the forum search engine to find it.

They are typing bad words, if you wrote a swear then posted it would appear as [censored].

That means they are typing a swear word. [censored] [censored] [censored]

I type [censored], because I'm not always sure what's censored or not. Most of the time it's just someone cussing.

I used to question this too, so I would typs out the censored thing just in case.

Don't swear or agitate. This forum is of the sensitive sort. I get banned for doing so. Many moons.

haha, thanks for all the info. I'm not looking to swear or anything, but i like to know what my limits are and how the website deals with different stuff. I would keep it PG anyway but like i said, i was just curious.
