I can haz length of day slider?

Im limited by the console. I find it obnoxious to wait 12 hours every time it starts to get dark. It breaks the immersion when it takes so little time to become night.

You could play in the (not so) dark.

Also, it takes just as little time to become light again as it does to become dark.

I'd rather not have to wait one second every for hour of resting/waiting in order for the timer to count down...

Well you don't have to wait 12 hours every time it gets dark. You can still explore if it is nighttime. And if you want the "immersion" of roleplaying, go to an inn and rent a room for the night. And the day and night are the exact same length, just like in real life.

It starts getting light around 6 in game and doesn't really get dark till around 8, how is 14 hours of daylight breaking immersion?

Not just like in real life.

Okay, maybe not the EXACT same length in real life, but it isn't light for 18 hours a day and dark for 6 (most places on Earth, it can get weird time schedules the farther north or south you go based on the season)

43 minutes is a good amount of time if you don't waste your entire day fast-travelling.

Depends on the season. Winter has longer nights and shorter days than summer.

Ok, fair enough. I never actually did the math. 43 minutes is a fairly long amount of time though, when it gets dark in the game my characters usually find a place to sleep for the night.

Eh... my thief character usually doesn't get to bed until about 5am.
The fun doesn't start until the sun goes down.
