Does anybody like to use only a weapon in their right hand and nothing in the off hand? That way you can block and still look cool without a shield.

Not for blocking. Empty hand is for Dovah Punch!

How? I would love to do this.

It's easy. Just punch! No serious damage, but you look awesome in the eyes of the crowd.

When I use the off hand I only block with the one handed sword

I do this as a rogue as I don't see them a shield masters, though I prefer and sword and dagger combo for style more than function.

There is a trick how to use it on PC, friend showed me, but unfortunately I don't recall how :/ But it does look awesome.
On a serious note, I do play like that on my assassin. Just one dagger in my right hand, other hand is free.

I use Dual Wield Parrying mod, it lets you block even with a spell wielding offhand or double wielding, ect... Having nothing in your hand is silly.

My thief/assassin uses a dagger in one hand, and nothing in the left when going for a sneak attack. When things get dicey however, he fills that empty hand with a second dagger.
