it's raining wolfs, spiders and dragons oh my!

Is it just me or has anyone else experienced critters falling form out of no where crashing to the ground dead? I've had a wolf a spider and even a dragon just crash to the ground dead with no help from me.

I have not had it happen myself, but I imagine that they were killed by giants. As the saying goes, what goes up, must come down...

I have had a dead Hagraven follow me around. Periodically hitting the ground just after I arrive by fast traveling.

If you think that's bad.. in my game it's raining mammoths. No kidding, I'm pretty sure it's due to a mod messing up the physics but they are actually spawning one hundred feet in the air.

It's in vanilla Skyrim, I have no mods and have seen this a lot. Mammoths, wolves, all sorts of things. And I doubt it's the giants kiling things, why would they kill mammoths.

I've had a horse fall out of the sky near me. It might have had a rider because further down the road there was a body on the road.

In my game, a naked imperial once dropped out of the sky. A khajiit trader then walked over, stared at the corpse and asked me what happened.

I also had a dead dragon named Vultjootnak or something like that follow me around. It was no skeleton but no soul to absorp.

I believe this has to do with the random spawn code. Sometimes they just spawn in the air. After that the physics package takes over.

I think so too, though it must be a glitch that they spawn in the air. This actually happened to my character - I made a save somewhere in the Forgotten Vale, and when I reloaded, my character spawned in the air and fell to the ground, almost dying (thankfully she had fairly high health). Thinking it was some bizarre one-off incident, I reloaded and tried several times, and each time it happened again.
