For the umpteenth time I am unable to play my non internet game Skyrim because of a problem with steam. Usually because thier servers have a problem, or as tihs is the 4th time, becuase steam software itself is screwed, Steam tech support informed me I had to uninstall steam to repair it - this I did and IT UNINSTALLED SKYRIM COMPLETELY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No mention from steam support that this would happen, and NO warnings when uninstalling steam!!!!! I have my saves only, but now I have to install the entire game again!!!!! A process which so far has been running for 4 hours because no matter what I try it will not install off the cd and insists on downloading all 9gb of the program at 200kb per second!!!!
Why am I having to do this?? In what way is this better than NOT having steam?????
Bethesda, for the love of god, do not involve any of your other games with this joke system - has certainly stopped me buying several other games which rely on steam, and I will continue to boycott games which use this appalling system.
Steam has continually spoiled and now ruined my enjoyment of Skyrim - i've got dawnguard and i really now dont know if I can be bothered installing it as no doubt I will have another problem with steam in the next week which screws that up - and I know I am not on my own with this.
