RainFogSmoke glitch near Falkreath

Post » Wed Oct 31, 2012 5:32 am

I posted this on the mod section but no one has even looked at it..

I appear to be getting some weird glitch around or in Falkreath during periods of rain and fog. Basically, when I am outside during these conditions, it looks like smoke is coming off my character. It is a white cloud that follows me around. Going inside a building and coming back out appears to fix it.

I do have mods but I also run BOSS and it detects no conflicts. I also let it sort.

Again this appears only around Falkreath during rain and fog conditions.

Anyone seen this?

Do you use "Water - Get Wet.esp" ?

Makes you drip when it's raining, wish it affected NPC's like the get snowy mod.

Yes!!! But I disabled the dripping plug in.

By that I mean I unchecked it under Data files, but I still have the WATER plug in installed.

I really think this may still have something to do with it. How do I get rid of that part of the plug in completely?

Simply delete the "WATER - Get Wet.esp" from your skyrim's data folder.

It isn't required at all for the main WATER.esp, so it's safe to remove.

If your character is still "smoking" after that, I don't know. Maybe it uses a script which is running? Would have to talk with the mod author on that one though.

Edit: Is it only at Falkreath you witness this occurrence? If it was "get wet" at "fault" then you would drip when it rains anywhere in skyrim, not localised to Falkreath.

It is hard to answer that. I saw this last night and I was only in Falkreath. I never left the area.

I saw it ONCE before which prompted me to uncheck WATER - Get Wet.esp from the Data Files section and I was somewhere close to Falkreath.
