So i did the Companion quest and then i focust on the civil war. After defeating Solitude i decided to go back to Whiterun and Jorvaskr. Only to find Skjor alive and fully functioning (I can take work from him).. I did see his corpse, and i saw his funeral..

Anyone have any ideas? lol

Yeah the same happened to me. Except it was long after I finished the questline; he just came in and acted like every thing was normal. I could get quests from him also afterwards. Its probably a glitch.

It's a bug. I'm not sure what triggers it, but it only happend on my first playthrough. Then it started crashing every time I entered Jovaskr soon after. Freakiest thing was I saw him slide across the snow field naked near Windhelm, before I saw him alive and kicking in Jovaskr.

Skjor was only mostly dead.

It sounds like it varies for people. Skjor is alive on my playthrough but my game doesn't crash out on me.

I had this happen too, with Vilkas and Skjor. It probably has to do with them spawning for random encounters and somehow getting re-flagged as living. Just be careful if you decide to take quests form Skjor or any other resurrected Companion Leader; I’ve heard that some people have had negative effects (like the game crashing whenever leaving Jorrvaskr) associated with taking quests from them. Funny enough I’ve also heard that you can kill them with no repercussions… haven’t tried it myself though.

I ignore him to prevent game breaking or file corruption. But he has a respawn rate of 10 out of 12 or so characters I have.

Wow. Exact same thing happened to me, just north of Windhelm along the river. Freaky.

I'm fairly certain that this is what happens, because I've gotten the strategy guide. In there it gives a list of the possible encounters. They do list Skjor as a part of one of them, but they make no note, or seperate encounter, after his death.

I think its a glitch i hope it goes away with patch 1.8s no duplicate npcs
