A Housecarl wont stop following me, need help.

Post » Wed Oct 31, 2012 7:15 am

Hello.

I have a problem with a Housecarl at Hjaalmarch reach. The Housecarl of Morthal wont go back to the jarls longhouse if i ask him to part ways. He says he will be there if i want him back but he still follows me around and are still "activly my companion". This may have something to do with a mod im using called "UFO" - "Ultimate Follower Overhaul". You see I already had a companion following me around. As you can have multiple followers with you using that mod, Valdimar join me aswell. But, wont go home when asked. Is this because of the mod? If or if not what is the next course of action?

Thanks for all the help you can give me.

Most likely the Mod.

Or perhaps, Valdimar thinks you are attractive, and wants to marry you..?

If using a multi follower mod, did you dismiss your followers BEFORE installing the mod?
If not this may be the key to the problem.

Interesting. I recommend seeing what you can learn from the mod maker.
It is definately bugged if doing this.

Hm. Did you try killing your housecarl? I know that murder isn't the answer to everything, blah, blah, blah, but it should get him to leave your service.

Well I could Murder him. I am the thane so the guards will forgive me once. But you are also right in murder is not the way to solve the problem. I will try to contact the mod maker. I'm sure he will see to it if he is concerned for his mod, and want to have as few buggs as possible.

It is the mod. I don't remember how but there is an easy fix, put the mod last in the load order, if that doesn't work consult the mod's nexus page.
