Fights in Cyrodiil

Post » Thu Nov 01, 2012 3:58 am

Just read the last Interview of Brian Wheeler, and got confused again

There will be "campaigns" - which should mean instanced versions of the Battlefield.
Tried to find out what this should mean.... but had no success with it.

because IF it would be instanced for a group of 100 players - campaign by campaign,- who will know, what the situation on the battlefield will be? Which Alliance controlls which points etc.
Do we have then, 3 or more Battlefields depending on how much campaign s there will be?

what is it? Thx for clarification

it is confusing. from i can tell they will have multiple copies of cyrodill. instances. when you first log into the game you will be assigned a 'campain' which is basically an instance of cyrodill. that character will always fight in that instance with the same people against the same people. its like having a home server. which is confusing beccause they are cramming this megaserver thing down our throats and it doesnt make much sense.

It makes total sence,

If you would have a server with 75% in one realm 12.5% and 12.% on the other two, the server would be unplayable in Cyradiil in that particular server.

BUT

With the megaserver , the fights are always 33% 33% 33% , and let the best side win. (also if one side looses a lot of players to inactivity etc, they can release new spots to that campaing so the balance is restored).

Exiting new thing imo.

Yes-thats right - it will be balanced then.

but if we have different instances,- like different homeserver, as you said, how it will be with cyrodiil "strategy map" ? which points belong to which guild or alliance ?
There we would have differences. How it will be with the emperor then? more than one i assume?

No idea, but i am 100% sure we get answers to those soon.

I would expect that there are castles in Cyrodiil that needs to be owned and upgraded to certain status to be able to invade the capital.

and the faction that gets the capital, chooses the King.

And as long as those special castles stay with the Alliance that won the capital, the King has his throne, until one of the 2 remaining alliances wins it off him, by taking the special castles and the capital, and then its again one faction defending and 2 trying to achieve a win off the two.

Or atlest i assume it goes like that. Also i assume different castles give different bonuses in PvE and PvP

Other then that we dont have a clue about the other content off Cyrodiil and the PvP side.

Well Arena is one, but dunno how it works.
