Spellsword and Board?

Post » Sat Nov 03, 2012 9:06 am

So I have made a new character to celebrate buying Skyrim for the PC, and I figured what the hay why not try a play style I haven't tried. So I picked a Spellsword, or my interpretation of one, and have been having some fun. Though since my normal style was sword and board I was used to just standing still and soaking up blows from my enemies, and I found out rather quickly that this wouldn't work with this character. And to be honest I really miss the feel of a sword in one hand and a shield in the other.

Now I'm torn between keeping the Spellsword, which I have had lot's of fun with. Or re-making the character using sword and shield, how many times can I say that during this.

So what I am hoping you fine upstanding forum goers can help me with is, is it possible for me to keep my spellsword but alos split off into blocking? Or would it just be better to make a new character?

Right now my character has perks in Heavy Armor, one handed, destruction, smithing, and enchanting. Race is Nord by the way.

Thank you for taking the time to read that wall of text and help me out.

My spellsword uses spellbreaker...it helps during dragon attacks and I keep it on favorites so I can swap it for spells at need.

spellbreaker is a very good shield, but would I be able to perk up block to make it effective?
