Good tablet computer to replace a desktop PC?

Post » Mon Nov 05, 2012 3:05 am

I've decided to sell my desktop gaming computer because I don't really play enough games on it to justify having one over something cheaper. So I was looking to get a tablet computer that can do things such as open and edit MS Word documents (or even better all program's of Microsoft Office) and generally most other things that PCs can do (obviously not things like video editing and model making and other things like that). Any suggestions or am I better off getting a laptop? Price range is up to £300.

You're probably better off with a laptop if you want to replace the functions of a full computer.

Though, I tend to be heavily biased against tablets (it just tends to happen /shrug) so take my advice for what it's worth.

You can do most basic things on a tablet, but I find that it's generally a better experience on a computer for long and complex tasks. An example of one of those tasks would be writing a paper.
