FormID Finder?

Post » Mon Nov 05, 2012 12:04 pm

Is there anything (or any way) that operates like FormID Finder did for Oblivion?

Basically an in-game way to tell if I certain object, etc. was placed by a mod and determine in-game what mod added it?

I have quite a few mods going right now, and occasionally come across an item, armor, weapon, etc. that I'd like to know what it is and I don't know how to determine that?

For instance, I found in an overhang in the whiterun tundra a dead hunter wearing "hunter's armor" and a cape called "hunter's folly" which appears to have the enchantment icon, but nothing shows up under active effects when I wear it. (there are quite a few capes that appear to be enchanted but seem to have no effect. any ideas?)

it's really well made armor... i just don't know where it came from.

things like that. any formid finder out there?

Hunter's Folly is from nikinoodles's Capes of Skyrim mod. The enchantment icon is there because it has a description. It's not actually enchanted.

If you open console and click on an object/actor, first two digits of the hexadecimal number of the ID correspond to the load order number of the mod/vanilla data it belongs to.
If you use Nexus mod manager, the load number is right beside the plugin names in the load order list.

I too am waiting for a diagnostic tool like FormID or RefScope.
