Exclusivity Petition - Dragonborn DLC

Post » Tue Nov 06, 2012 6:59 am

Hello,

I am a PC Skyrim player - and as many of you know - Bethesda has been almost dismissive in their treatment of us - and even more so of the PS3 players. I'm not here to discuss whether taking Microsoft's money was a good or bad thing, whether is was needless revenue that would have been made back by immediate sales, or whether it was money that would help the development of future games - irrelevant. I simply would like to make a thread for all those fans who disagree with Bethesda's exclusivity deal (or the longevity of it) to leave their username (or real name) so that Bethesda can know how may fans they've disgruntled. This isn't a petition in the sense that I expect anything to come of it - we're past that time now - but nonetheless I think it's important that Bethesda can graphically see how many people they've upset - and if that helps in future decisions for their company that's all the better.

Thanks for reading, if you disagree with my views, please use one of the discussion threads. I intend this thread only to be signed or posted on by people who agree - hence the name 'petition'

I'm almost positive that's against the law in most countries. Bethesda are American based too - land of the free and all that...

First of all, petitions are not allowed on the forums.

Second, I am a PC player. I don't have a super rig but not a crappy one. I love my PC games and TES is what got me into it, but I wish these people that are mad about the Microsoft thing would stop as it makes some of the PC players that don't mind (including me) look bad. Sure it is odd but I am patient and I can wait. I have other things in life that I can do or needs done. Skyrim isn't my life and surely it shouldn't for these complainers. That is my honest two cents.

Oh wow. This has gone too far. People are complaining and jumping to conclusions because they have the patience of a 5 year kid. The day of announcement you decide to not buy it because you care about exclusivity. Grow up.

Ain't going to happen. They were contracted for 2 "Add-ons". Hearthfire wasn't marketed as an "Add-on".
Sorry.

If you'd read my OP - you'd notice that I intend to buy it

Can I make a petition to stop the silly petitions from PC users? Please tell me about your poor treatment, all the while fiddling around with a variety of mods. :P

Exclusivity deals are as old as the game industry itself. Just be glad it's only a "delay". Not an actual exclusive.

The US government cannot shut down a petition, but on the internet, things can be closed. Bethesda has the right to run their own forums as they see fit. If you don't like it, don't be on the forums.
