Bloodline of Dragonborn

Post » Wed Nov 07, 2012 3:19 am

Hello everyone,

I think we will discovering the myth of the Dragonborn by following bloodline
"The Dragonborn" could be the Father of Dovahkiin and could like a shrine which we must find it.
After walkthrough we meet our "Father" and learning more about HE like the film "The Da Vinci Code".

I hoped this walkthrough for the Dawnguard but it was not the case.

I'm sure it happens to the Dragonborn.

There is no "bloodline" of Dragonborn. A fragment of the Time God's soul ends up in a mortal coil. That's how Dragonborn are made.

Because we absorbed a dragon soul.

You aren't the only one, you never were the only one, clearly there were Dragonborns who absorbed souls in the past, the DLC trailer pretty much proves that. In the old tradition, anyway, that's how one is recognized as Dragonborn - by being able to absorb the soul of a dragon.

what i wanted to tell is, there must a another dragonborn who is our "Father" (as shrine), the first.
We would learn more about him to confront the powerful dragonpriest.

it is my thought

No, not the bloodline just Tiber Septim. The only thing that the Septim bloodline got from Tiber was the crown... not ability to be a real Dragonborn.

No, there mustn't. Being Dragonborn is a gift bestowed by Akatosh. It's not something you had to inherit either biologically or spiritually from some other Dragonborn.

There is no "Dragonborn" bloodline. There are people who are Dragonborn and people who aren't. Those who are, are so because Akatosh wills it.

We would learn more about him to confront the powerful dragonpriest.

By all appearances the powerful dragonpriest IS the first Dragonborn referred to in the trailer. Confronting him means confronting the first Dragonborn.

I don't see why people are so strict on the mutual exclusivity of "Dragon Soul is inherited" and "Dragon soul ain't inherited" when there is good chance for both to be correct.
To begin with, nothing has been confirmed anywhere, only theorized by characters in Nirn... and none of those characters is exactly a plausible source (the uniqueness in TES lore is that sources can in most cases NOT be trusted). Maybe Miraak or Hermeus Mora will be but we will see if they will talk bout it... I doubt it: Beth seems to have made it ambiguous to give the Player greater freedom in making their characters (in other words, not to force all character's ancestors to be Dragonborn).

But on topic, the fact remains that Alessians, Remans and Septims were able to use the Amulet of Kings throughout their bloodline (and neither would Blades serve anyone but the Dragonborn: when Medes came to power, they abandoned them because they were not Dragonborn and titus Medes I had to form the Penitus Oculatus already at start of 4E). The Amulet itself can only be worn by the Dragonborn whom it seems to than use to connect with Akatosh (with whom Dragonborn are connected) and than keep Dragonfires up.

Some may say here: "But Akatosh here blesses everyone born in the dynasty". Likely wrong: Mankar Camoran was Dagon's champion since his birth yet he was able to equip Akatosh's holy artifact. There is no way Akatosh would ever give him his blessing... yet he was able to use his holy artifacts like anyone from Dragonborn dynasties.

All in all, Akatosh can always create new Dragonborn... but Dragon Blood CAN definitely be inherited even if Akatosh doesn't like it.
