Need help with NMM

Post » Wed Nov 07, 2012 12:29 pm

I've just come back to Skyrim because I wanted to wait for some good mods to be produced and I have found a few I really like, but I'm having trouble getting them to work in NMM. The one I was looking to test out first was the Realistic Lighting Mod and I cannot figure out how to add them into NMM. I tried adding the URL, but it says the URL from Skyrim Nexus is invalid and I downloaded the manual installation, but the esp. (as far as I can tell), cannot be loaded into NMM. I'm very familiar with Wrye Bash and OBB considering I had well over 3GB worth of mods for Oblivion, but I guess it's been too long since I tried to add mods because this is kicking my ass.

Any helpful information is appreciated. Also, I tried to find the current Realistic Lighting thread, but the search function only brings up the second thread which has been locked for some time.

To use the "add mod' button in NMN, the file must be in archive format (.rar or .zip) don't try to add the .esp directly. For a complete NMM tutorial, check thishttp://youtu.be/ClqtmSUsFhg.

Also, the Nexus website is being worked on /upgraded these last few days, so login in is kind of wonky and download doesn't always work. Should be fixed soon, hopefully.

Find the mod you want on nexus got to files and select download with manager(or something like that).
I dont think manual downloads will work on the nmm(i could be wrong though).
