I am looking into modding. I want atmosphere enhancement mod

Post » Wed Nov 07, 2012 4:20 pm

I'm looking into buying a gaming pc and add some mods.

I'm really looking into mods like the star field mods, the lush vegitation mod, fog enhance mod, water enhancement mod, etc. Mods that change the atmosphere of the world, rather than simply the graphics.

Can anyone give me a list of highly recommended mods that deal with this?

Thanks.

Half the fun of modding skyrim is searching for the mods yourself so that you can tailor your game the way you want it, some resources for that would be http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/ and http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/browse/?appid=72850&browsesort=toprated, there are other fantastic modding websites but for a novice these two are the simplest to use and have the largest database.

Some quick mods to get you started are:

http://www.skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/13268

http://www.skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/141

http://www.skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/24460

http://www.skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/7654

http://www.skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/85

There are plenty more mods out there to be found that will really enhance the atmosphere as well as the visuals of your game but these are all must have mods.

The above list is good but I would exchange Realistic Lighting with Project Reality: Climates of Tamriel and add the imaginator. CoT improves the whole weather system a ton. The Imaginator can be used to tweak saturation, color balance, brightness, contrast, bloom, etc to your exact tastes.

Yeah I love COT, its fantastic (except for the extreme snow blizzards I cant see where I am going lol ) it makes for much more realistic weather systems and lighting! I would also add Rainbows, Shooting Stars and Dynamic Fires to the list just to add to the immersion!

Thanks for the lists guys.

Now I know there are some mods that add some small villages and towns.

Can anyone give any reccomendations? Something that's not to silly or unrealistic in the skyrim lore.
