NEW VIDEOOOOO

Post » Thu Nov 08, 2012 5:37 pm

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KxJTsq2XeKY discuss. but watch first.

Personal revelations:

0:28 Mournhold and the palace are HUGE

0:53 old-school daedric ruin from morrowind behind Sage.

1:06 warmachines and fortifications directly outside Mournhold, interesting...

4:12 lots of character animation; players crossing their arms, putting hands on hips, holding chin thoughtfully and looking around with their head/shoulders without turning their entire bodies.

4:59 friendly stealth animation; players appear as a shadowy silhouette.

5:05 lycanthropy and vampirism as...perks. interesting.

6:23 brief flash of very skyrim-inspired minimalist HUD

6:25 ingame map of area around Mournhold with curious red and green shaded zones above and below. Also noticed that the waterways depicted around the city don't look that big on the map despite the clearly impressive harbor shown earlier. Either the area depicted is massive or the map is not %100 accurate.

7:39 forts/keeps (at least one of them) with classic fort architecture as seen in Morrowind

adding as I watch

Looks cool, actually.

I'm concerrned about hit connection, some of the art style (Fable's cheering npcs WTF) , and the Cyrodiil retcon though.

I have to say, It looks and sounds way better than I thought.

I really dont want to go back to a monthly fee game after 3 years of wow, but if they really deliver all that is being promised, who knows...

hmm it still needs work some of the combat looked like simply exchanging blows, it wasnt active, i didnt see a lot of moving while attacking. There also didnt seem to be any connection with the shield when blocked save for a short clip at the very end. I look forward to the game but It still has to be better.

I <3 you TESO.. be all you can be.

Not going to comment on the game world, I need to consider it a bit more. The characters are actually a lot better than I was expecting. I like the armours and stuff (at least the original ones). The animation is a little over the top compared to previous games, but I can see why that's necessary. I really like all of the monsters I've seen so far.

In my opinion, the worst thing about this is that it shows they've got a lot of it done! I want them to take much longer, partially because I'm not in a situation to play right now, and also because there are changes that I want them to make before release: it would be a shame if they're past a point of no return in development already.

It really does look great. I have a feeling that they have not finished combat animations and sidestepping, and that is why combat looks static. Pre-alpha gorgeousness.

No? I just think he's a funny character, would be great if we could pick annoying characters up from time to time to travel with us like pets...err, companions :bunny:

One criticism I have is that the player characters in the video look rather samey. It's difficult to tell in the big battle scenes who's on what side.

Also, obviously they can't show them at this point because they probably haven't done that much on them so far, but due to the higher number of player characters and the size of the game, there needs to be a lot more NPCs than in any other ES game. Cities should feel crowded, and not just with a bunch of soulless warriors stopping off between quests.

In any case, thanks for posting.
