Urge to play Skyrim.

Post » Fri Nov 09, 2012 3:03 am

Hey guys, I got a really big urge to play Skyrim but I can't decide what class and race to choose. I've been brainstorming for like an hour but I can't decide.
I've been thinking about necromancer but that feels like it's gonna be a pain in the beginning with the lack of "good" spells etc.

I've also thought about becoming a vampire, Many people seem to play so maybe you can explain pros and cons etc.

Feel free to type what you play for class and race combination and why.

Thanks!

Ha i'm in your situation as well. I was thinking of being a vampire. I've done the whole necro thing and don't get me wrong it was fun but once you get to a higher level it seems useless. I think you should try something new and different. Good luck (:

I've never get bored playing a Ranger/Assassin type with a bow. I keep coming back to it everytime my save gets corrupted or quests bug out.

If you have Dawnguard you could RP a character similar to Van Helsing and hunt down Vampires.

But considering everything, bows/archers are the most fun playstyle in the game. 2-H and sword/board can be fun if you have the MOD Dance of Death or something and the % set to 100% for everything and to third person. The killing blows look pretty epic and one of the sole reasons for playing a melee build for me personally.

Vampire is excellent if you plan on sneaking, or casting alot of illusion spells, as you get perks in both. You also get nighteye, invisibility, and can see in the dark. But its a pain to feed constantly and be weak to fire, as you will be fighting dragons that shoot that stuff. Also during the day, your stamina, health will not re-generate that fast, if at all, depending on your last feed. I have been a vampire all 250+ hours, and its perfect for a sneak thief, bow and arrow expert, which i am.

Only become a Vampire if you have Dawnguard and side with the Volkihar clan.

I'm currently playing an imperial vampire who uses the bound bow. He's a thief/assassin. It's easy to deal with the drawbacks by using enchanted gear bought from traders.

If i became a vampire before I get Dawnguard, will it ruin Dawnguard gameplay? Or is just vanilla vampire not enjoyable?

I normally play as a Warrior/ Spellsword type class. Can you explain to me what a Necromancer RP would do? I think I know, but want to hear more...
