i now have the 1.8 patch and now skyrim seems a little laggy at times and right now im using a 2003 era lcd screen which maxxes out at 1024x768 and it's a bit laggy even when i used another lcd from 2005 which maxxes out at 1280x1024 and it was laggy with it.

A few things:

1) Post a full dxdiag in a spoiler tag
2) Describe, in detail, what you mean by lag

lag as in not running a smooth as it should.
