The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim - Natural Insight

For science, you monster.

A content add-on mod.

Greetings everyone!

Here's something we've been working on quite hard lately. It is a free (of course) fully-voiced, high quality sound content add on mod for Skyrim.
The storyline revolves around a former Psijic Order member who leaves their mysterious ways to seek out the truth about the nature
of our existence, in order words, to discover what we know as natural science in the 21st century. And Dragonborn is going to help him.
If he finds his cause worthy, of course! If so, he'll have to fend off the Psijic Order monks who tend to keep knowledge hidden from others
and not to mention the Empire and its inquisition, because the theories formed will create a certain stir in the religious affairs of Tamriel.

We wouldn't want to spill all the beans right now, but we're looking for moral support. You can learn more about it on our Facebook page
we setup today, but please, if you're going to support us - consider the premise, consider the screenshots and make sure this is something
you'd like to experience and play once it is released. While we appreciate charity, we need to gauge whether this is worth making.

But honestly, who wouldn't want a fully voiced add-on for Skyrim made by avid Skyrim fans such as yourselves? About us, we're a few software
engineers and game developers who like to relax in our favorite game Universes. One that we share is Tamriel. And since we're all science
biased, we wanted to explore this aspect in Skyrim.

Link's... Seems that we cannot post links yet. Please let us know what you think about the idea, give us suggestions... Even blunt ones like
"What are you doing... STAHP!".

Here's the broken link, you should be able to reconstruct it:

Much obliged,
Natural Insight Team & Skyrim fans.

On the question of respecting the established lore of the Elder Scrolls series:

Oh, we're lore buffs ourselves. We are going to try to formulate a notion of science that works in the Universe, Mundus, within which Skyrim is established. We have no intention to abolish the notions of lore, just interpret them a little differently. But facts will remain facts, we will not try to change them. We will give the opportunity to wrongly interpret the world to the player. The book "Natural Insight", at the end, will be the Dragonborn's touch. He'll have a choice of deciding how things are written in it and the decisions made will affect the relationship with the Psijic Order, the "Empire Inquisition" and the former member of the Psijic Order.

Perhaps he's an insane lad. Perhaps he's not. None can say until they play.

The mod itself has no bias. It will offer paths to the player, they may be wrong. But the wrong path doesn't necessarily mean a classical game over. One of the most exciting aspects of modern game narratives is making choices. Even more so when the possibility of a wrong one is hanging over your head.

Generally, the designation of "DLC" is reserved for mods produced by Bethesda - you might want to change "add on DLC" to "mod" to avoid confusion.

That's all. Interesting premise, though I'm a bit sceptical of how it'll work considering that the existence of gods and magic and other worlds are facts in the ES universe.

Point taken, we will rectify to a more appropriate naming convention. Also, the second idea has quite an impact on the storyline. The primary NPC doesn't always have to be right in his cause!

Yeah, you might want to consult the lore buffs about bringing "our" science to tamriel. Consider reading http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:Mundus article.

Interesting idea, getting the lore and the narrative just right will be critical though, good luck with this :D

Awesome :D. Sounds great. By the way, you need 5 posts and your account to be a week old before you can post links. They had some bots a while back posting links to inappropriate content.
