There's just so much to do.

There's just so much to do in this game its insane. I'm been playing this game off and on since it came out and every time I find some thing new to do. I got roughly 116+ in hours in the game and just NOW started the dark brotherhood missions. I haven't even been to all the cities/towns I'm still saving mortal for later. I've never been in that major city. Has any one else saved a city by not visiting it so you got some new to play say 6 months from now?

Now I see there's more DLC and what not to purchase. I assume I'm in the minority but it seems to be like I see no reason to purchase any dlc right now since I still got a good chunk of skyrim to still discover.

Same for me. I bought Dawnguard and Hearthfire but haven't even installed them because there's still SO MUCH to do. I'm at about double your playtime and just visited Morthal for the first time and never really been to Markarth or Rifton.

I really overdid saving stuff for later in Oblivion. For thirty months, that's two and a half year, I played nothing but Oblivion. That's several hundred of hours. And I only finished the main quest in 2008 and did not do a single guild quest and I have never been east of the Niben (except for Cheydinhal and some surrounding area) or south of Bravil.

In Skyrim, I really have to make myself do some "big" quests, I always want to save stuff for "later". Because of this, I still have a lot to do, even after about 250 hours :)

Approximately around +600 hours, still haven't done everything - WITHOUT the DLCs (or mods). Granted, I have made a few characters, so I've done the same quests a couple of times, and I might have had completed more of the game if I'd only had one character, but still.

That's why many of us love the Elder Scrolls games: there's always something to do.

I've been playing off and on as well and haven't gotten to the Dark Brotherhood, Thieves Guild, Civil War and much of the main quest.

I'm also going to delay the dlc until I run out of vanilla content to do, and for them to get patched. Most of what I've heard of the dlc is how buggy they are.

With Oblivion, I did pace myself out a bit, but did complete the main quest and the guilds. Frequent crashing and general game instability after 400+ hours on a single character kept me from playing Knights of the Nine or Shivering Isles.

I've played four characters, around 700 hours in total during the past year since release and only had a chance to complete the questlines for Companions, Stormcloaks and MQ. Still lots of content I haven't started yet, was trying to save the Dark Brotherhood for last.
