Having trouble with Whispering Door quest. I need to go ask the Jarl or the mage for the key and when i go to talk to them there is no dialogue option for this. I know i'm going to the right guys because there is a quest marker above their head AND the quest info says to go to them. Does anyone know why there is no way for me to ask them for the key to the whispering door? Did i miss something here?

Pickpocket either or kill Farengar. That's how the Lady wants you to do it.
