Who also prefers crappy weapons and armor?

If it's not iron or steel, I don't want it. That fancy elven and dwemer stuff belongs in a museum, not an armory. Bloody milk drinkers and their pretty looking gear. Give me a couple of sticks and some string and I'll poke anyone's eye out.

Who else prefers the simpler-looking gear?

I like a silver sword for my spellsword, who refuses to wear armor due to the lack of codpieces. Is that too fancy?

I started to write something silly, but in a moment of OOC honesty, I'll just say this:

I love steel. The only problem is I can't get the weapons strong enough to do the job I need them to do. Thankfully, a couple of modders have fixed that problem for me.

But if I play a Nord - or a Khajiit - they wear steel.

Other than the Thieves Guild and Dawnguard armors, I don't really like light armor in Skyrim.

Both of my warrior character spent all of their 50+ levels in beginning armor. One wore Hide Armor, one wore Iron Armor. One of them used a 2-Hand Steel sword, one used a 2-Hand Draugr sword the whole time. My mage didn't even wear robes, she wore street clothes.

I usually tend to prefer the Steel equipment(including Steel Plate and Scaled Armor, which are a bit better than their normal Steel counterpart).

I love Dwarven armour, i just wish there were more npcs that would wear it so im not the only person in whole state of skyrim using it. I really believe the markarth city guard should be wearing Dwarven heavy armour and maybe a light armour variant. I can understand Daedric and Dragonbone and Dragonscale being rare but not all the others.

I start with the most basic weapons and armor, but not for the full playthrough.. I always aim for the best gear simply because it's the way I am. I've never gone the Light Armor route either simply because I prefer Daedric armor in the end over any other, and Ebony comes in second.. I might consider going down it one day but I don't know when although this can be easily done on my maxed out character since he has so many extra perk points.

My taste is a little different.

I don't like fancy-looking body armours. I can't imagine town folks can keep their calm when somebody in a dreadful alien-looking Daedric armour was wandering in the town. That's a bit weird isn't it?

However, I do love fancy gloves/gauntlets. They only take a small portion of the appearance of the character, so it won't be so garish.

These topics always make me chuckle.

it doesn't really matter
One could say the same thing about anything. What does "really matter?" This is a forum where folks with a shared interest in a hobby come to discuss various aspects of their hobby. To people who care about something, it matters.
