If there is to be a patch 1.9 or even 2.0...

Bethesda if you intend to develop a patch update 1.9 I would like to see some tweeks like you did with the other patches like mounted combat. One would be the abilaty to use magic on horse back. Two, we need the abilty to command are companions to ride horse back. And the last one on my mind would be more extream weather effects like better more intence lighting and heaver rain. I know some of these are mods on PC. But we don't have access to them on PS3 or 360. I just think it would living up the game a little bit more... And yes they need to work on some majore fixes too, ofcourse. I beleave they plan on after all the DLC, Add-ons, Plug-ins and Expansion they intend to bring out are out there will be the last patch that fixes alot of issues. But I'm just guessing....

Speaking for the PC version:

I don't know much about the shadow system in Skyrim (I have been meaning to create a thread about some questions I have), but I would like to see some work done with the shadows. To make the more sharp and less glitchy.

Also, a huge thing, as I understand it Skyrim does not have real-time shadows for certain things. That to my mind is a travesty for this wonderful game. I would like to see that implemented.

So, just some serious work from Bethesda with the shadows.

I agree. The shadows are way too jagged. I actually find Oblivion's soft shadows more pleasing to the eye.

I do think Bethesda has finally fixed my main gripe with the game though. When the game was first released the dungeons were bright as hell and it bothered me almost to the point of insanity. However after installing Dawnguard/1.8 patch or something, I've noticed that most of the interiors are much darker than before. You still don't NEED torches to see, but the additional darkness adds tons of atmosphere to the game.

Shadows look worse than minecraft on PS3. Would be nice if something was done to those. Also, first person shadow of yourself.

Side-note: I think a patch 2.0 would be called "1.10" and not "2.0". Note: Think.

Yes, something really needs to be done about the shadows. Bethesda is an amazing game company and should want to fix the shadows in their masterpiece Skyrim. I just don't get it? All this time and people still having serious issues with shadows. And the thing is, the shadows add such an important aspect to the game! :-)

With all the bugs I'm hopping they are planning patch 96.4 now. OK I jest but really fix the bugs. Start with the crash bugs then the game killers then the game breakers, after that shadows or some of the audio glitches. Let's aim for more working less it would be pretty if it worked.

Forget the shadows and the cosmetic horse changes just fix the damn bugs and glitches and that will give everyone more gameplay and satisfaction, for gods sake who cares about shadows when you cant finish your quest?

I hope the next patch has bug fixes. The clean-up issues, glitchy quests, etc. Then add more features. Bug fixes first, features later.

On the shadows issue for PC I'm pretty sure that some work has been done on this. When the game first came out they were terribad blocks of ugliness, but now they seem to be much smoother and less noticeable. I would imagine that more patches are to come. There's certainly work there if they want it!
