The game was running fine for the most part, this issue started at the beginning of Flooded District mission - suddenly I was no longer able to save the game - I get the message "There was an issue saving the game" - when I choose cancel and then try to access the main menu, the game freezes. I tried using an earlier save, but the problem still exists.

I hope someone can help me find a solution.

I have the same issue. It broke when I started the lighthouse mission and I can't do anything in its current state. Nothing works... autosave, normal save, quicksave, everything just blocks the game!
I tried moving the saves, deleting them, reloading, restarting the mission, disabling steam cloud, NOTHING helps. The old savegames even still appear in the list!

I guess thats it. Can't finish the game.

I'm getting the same issue. When I restore from my last quicksave, I can save the game. But once I talk to Samuel and the game transitions to the lighthouse mission, an error message pops up during the autosave: "there was an issue saving the game".
Retry brings up the issue again, cancel locks up the game. Quite frustrating.
