For those who still doubt in Windows XP

Played the game for 3 hours on Windows XP Professional 32bit (SP3)
The strange this the FPS I get and my hardware which should not be even supported
I play the game on 1280x1024 no AA all set to max with average FPS of 45
My hardware is pathetic dual core CPU Athlon 2,60Ghz (bought it 2007) and crappy GT220 512MB GDDR3 and barely 2GB of RAM.
The game doesn't freeze or lag.Strangely I don't even experience FPS drops as some say.Oh other funny thing is my GPU drivers from 2010 (197.45) :D I'm posting this for those who afraid of buying this cool video game.

I also have an old AMD dual core, 2 GB of ram, XP SP3 and a 550 Ti so this is great news, thanks.

Does it play full screen at 1280x1024 or are there borders?

Interesting that you ask.NO! There are no borders when you play the game. But there are borders in the menu if you play on any different resolution than 1280x720.Since the game launched in 720p i wanted to switch to 1024p (native res for my monitor) and my heart stop for a moment when i saw the borders but fortunately they appear only in the menu and during some cut scenes. It's not like Assassin's Creed games aspect ratio thank God xD

I had a feeling Arkane would make sure to support older PCs. Good on them.

I just bought it and can now fully confirm that the game works on Windows XP Professional x64 Edition (64-Bit WinXP with Server 2003 NT 5.2 Kernel). See for yourself:
