No Remodeling?

I really love my one single house in Farkreath, and I don't want to have to build another house and spend a full entire day transfering EVERYTHING from inside my new fully built house just to go to another house that I'd have to spend building up. What I really really want is a library, or more bookshelves... I have hundreds of books I wish I could put on shelves and I heard there's a library tower thing?? is there any way to remodel a part of the house? I don't care if I lose everything in that section, completly emptying it out, I just want to remodel my alchemist tower to a library if I can... or if anyone else has any way of making more bookshelves that I can Actually use... I have like 15 bookshelves but they all have junk on them already and it makes them completly unusable... so my house only has 1 single working bookshelf and it's full.

I also wanted to know if there was a way to fix your Armory room? The weapon racks all work but I don't want the sword/shield mount, I just want nothing but the 5-6 weapon rack things all along both walls.. I don't use shields or dual weapons so I just want to line each wall with nothing but dragon swords and bows and powerful dragon priest staves... I also cannot find a way to interact with ANY weapon cases... they only open and close, you can't just press the button and the weapon going straight into it like you can in normal houses.

any help would be like... amazing

The DLC is only for house building, not demolishing or remodelling, you build it it is permanent. The only way to rebuild is to load a save game from before you started building the house. It would be easier just to go build another house. And you cannot make the alchemy tower into a library even if you could remodel. The alchemy tower is a north wing, the library is an east wing, they are on different sides of the house.

Your only choices with the furnishings is whether or not to build them, you cannot have things that are not on the list, everything is preset. The weapon cases are the same as they always have been, they just do not have the easy activation option. You open them and manually place your items in there. Dropping the items on the floor first, leaving the house and returning will ensure the house remembers where you are putting them.

Yeah, I've seen it happen to regular items too but mostly it happens to me with weapons.

I had Nettlebane and Mehrunes' Razor in a case, and gradually they glitched all the way out an ended up on the floor. I haven't had much problems with any of the other items in cases, though my nice display of dwemer cutlery all shifted down into a big pile at the bottom of the case. Oh well. :/

Also I would love to be able to remodel. I like to get rid of my greenhouse and put in a bedroom, and additionally have the ability to put an addition anywhere as opposed to its current set up of specific addons for specific sides. I collect books so I wanted a library, and I collect weapons and armour too so I wanted an armoury. Alas, they're both only available on one side, so the library won out since it has the most storage space of any house for books.

If I could do that I'd change out the storage room for the armoury. Wouldn't it be possible for all the items in chests/boxes/etc to just be transferred en masse to that chest outside your house for building materials? This would make sense and be acceptable to me if remodelling was possible.
