June 6 - Kotaku Interview with John Carmack

Post » Thu Nov 15, 2012 4:50 pm

Kotaku published a great new video interview with John today. He discusses the history of Head Mounted Displays and how this will work with the Doom 3 BFG edition.

I had to watch it a couple times to make sure I was following everything - really informative and fun to watch.

Edited out all my random stuff.....

Those were some great videos, and it seems now Carmack has achieved megatextures and is now moving into VR. I hope it gets better and better, and the older stuff gets cheaper, cuz I don't want to spend $500 for a headset to play games with

Carmack is rather inspiring for someone who looks like Bill Gates little brother. Always interesting to hear him talk about whatever he is talking about at the time.

More like Bill Gates' big brother. If you really know Bill, he's really not at the level of Carmack.

Lol and well he even looks more like a little brother...
