So, since I bought Hearthfire on Weds. Skyrim has been dead in the water for me. At first when I tried to play it gave me a "The server cannot be reached" message. Then that message was replaced later in the day by a "The game cannot be launched right now, please try again later" message.

I tried Verifying the Installation, it did nothing. It simply stayed on "Download Starting". I tried removing Skyrim through Steam - it wouldn't do it, so I manually uninstalled Skyrim and tried to start the download again. Just stayed at "Download Starting". I've tried re-installing directly from the disc, but that won't work either; it says that the "Steam" file cannot be reached/used.

So...I'm kind of stuck here. We all know Steam support can takes weeks to sort anything, even to get back to the original posted message.
