I have bought Dawnguard I have updated the game to 1 7 7 0 6 , I have made version control of steam all sems fine ...

apart that I get no Horse combat ...

Also I get a weird crashes sometimes ingame to desktop , I have no mods alterations no mod problems ...

This is really annoying , I tought that when buying dawnguards those bugs woudl been solved , instead I still can't get the horse combat I am the only one ? I have ll updated , dawnguard installed , no mods, cleaned all DATA folders and STILL DONT WORK!!!

What happens when you try horse combat? For me, when I draw my weapon while on my horse, I'm suddenly standing on the saddle with my character in bind pose with no weapon drawn. If I attack, it makes sounds as if I'm swinging a weapon, but I don't see anything.

Also, many of the new characters in the DLC seem to go into the same bind pose when they are supposed to be doing certain idle animations (like vampires in their coffins).

A few other bugs I've troubleshot to be conflicting with mods that I had installed, but I can't figure this one out. It's like there are animations/poses missing.

Ok I solved this, I had completely deleted the Data folder apart from the Bethesda files, made a Steam updated control , then I tested and horsecombat worked , so it's fault of some mods I installed ...

I later installed all of my Issgard mod and worked all fine so it was not my mod , but probably some others of the following :

better dynamic snow
cloacks
Insanity Dragonbane
JMO Dragons
NPC photobooth
Chesko Wereable lanterns
Sea of Ghosts
Realistic Lightnng
Water FX get wet ...

As you see I did not have many mods, I checked mines and worked fine , the most probable fault could be caused perhaps by NPC photobooth that is the only one of those listed that Alters animations as far as I know ... anyway deleting all those and redownloading after some time as the patch become more stable ...
