So I downloaded Dawnguard, firstly verified the integrity of the cache of my files in Steam and it was successful, I then went to the CK just to make sure the Dawnguard file was there it was, so everything was looking good, I then went to my Wrye Bash installer, dawnguard is completely red and was last in the order of the esm. so I used Boss and it successfully re-ordered Dawnguard to number 3 behind Skyrim and the Update file, my BOSS log also did not report any errors, I then attempted to run Skyrim and I got to the main load screen to load my saved file and that was about it because then it crashed.....


any ideas?

I have the Dawngaurd Esm in Red, but I can play Dawngaurd. I am not sure why it is red?
Your crash issue might be solved by moving "Skyrim" and "Skyrim Prefs" found in C:\Users\Documents\My Games\Skyrim to a different folder.
Start a new Game and let the Game generate a new Skyrim and Skyrim Prefs for you.
Try and start with an unmodded game, then begin adding mods back one by one, or start removing mods in batches until Dawngaurd will play.
