Im about to download Dawnguard right now but I dont know yet if I want to make a new character just for it.

My current character is level 50, does that mean I'll miss out and completely skip the lower leveled weaker monsters? And will I miss out on weaker equipment?

I dont know the types of enemies and crossbows yet, but I just dont want to automatically skip all the low tier Crossbows and see enemies using Daedric Crossbows instead of Iron just because of my high level, just speaking out of my mind though, I have no idea if those items even exist lol

I had the same thoughts, I am level 55 and when i first fought gargoyles I thought they were too easy for me, But the vampires I fought so far are incredibly strong compared to the older vampires...it has been awesome so far.

P.S. Death hounds are scary as hell!!!

And this is why level scaling is the anti christ.

Make alot of saves. Do not go anywhere without a companion. ALWAYS save before entering a town or you might lose a shopkeeper. I was level 43 the 1st time I played through and I picked my broken body up severl times. You are in for a real treat.
