BUGS BUGS BUGS AND MORE BUGS!

Post » Thu Nov 15, 2012 11:57 pm

I'd like to know what the beta testers actually did besides from nothing. I've got so many bugs on dawnguard its rediculous.

One of the small bugs is the bolt quivers. They are about 2 foot away from the players back.

One major bug is on a side quest for the vampires
Spoiler
To go do a killing in public dressed as dawnguard and to kill a high value target. Number one there is no high value targets in markarth I HAVE KILLED EVERYONE SEPERATLY IN THE STREET AND THE OPTIONAL STILL FAILS.

This next major bug totally cracks up side quests for the vamps.
Spoiler
Vingalmo sent me to winterhold twice to turn the same woman into a vampire. The first time was easy, the second time is impossible as she is already a vampire and there in no way to complete the quest without failing.

Has anybody else experienced any bugs? I cant be the only one.

Yes. Of course. It was the beta testers job to fix the bugs, not beths

Are you kidding me. Your one experience is really a good indicator of what us Beta testers did? You know how ridiculous you sound?

I called it: I said that once the inevitable bugs surfaced, no matter how hard you guys busted your backs, the sour graqes from those who didn't make the beta would mean you guys get the kiddy-fingers pointed at you

Who said it was missed? There are bugs they reported which haven't been fixed, such as the VL form being weakened by having serana as a follower bug.

You are placing the blame in the wrong place my friend. And even if you do put it to the right people, how much do you know about what fixing those bugs involves?

EDIT: Fair enough its annoying. I can understand that, it just doesn't help your cause to direct your grievances at the wrong people.

I can understand your frustration. However what would be helpful and constructive is to post this in the hardware issues, maybe they can give you workarounds to the bugs or help get it patched. :)

I'm not a tester. Nor was I saying they had or hadn't missed it. They might have but its not been confirmed or denied.

In any case they weren't likely to catch every single bug in the amount of time they had. Its the price we pay for a game which pushes the envelope like this one :(

But yeah. I feel your pain on this one *cough*BLOOD ON THE POXY ICE*cough* I need some benylin for that.... ;)

So you expected the DLC to be perfect because there were beta testers?

There are so many cominations of ways to get bugs that it would be impossible for the handful of testers to find them all. So be upset all you want, but your angry posts will do you no good.

By simply making Bethesda aware of the issue(s) will do you the most good. If it truly is as horrednous as you make it out, then it will be fixed.

Okay, first off, there is a section to post your bugs, and this isn't it.

Second off, every single bug you've listed was noted by us, the beta testers, in the beta forums. It's Bethesda's job to actually do the fixing, mind you, we have no control over that. You weren't in the beta so I wouldn't go pointing fingers, you don't know what we tested and what we didn't.

Also, with games like this, there are always bugs, even if you want to test it for 5 straight years, there will still be bugs. It's literally impossible to iron them all out.

I havnt expirenced any except for the bolt quiver being away from my back. But that's the only one for me. The dlc is smooth as butter.

I would imagine that the vast majority of the fault lies with Bethesda, the fans have always loved these games more than them.

There are so many "Unofficial patches" for the PC version that fix SO MUCH that Bethesda never bothers to fix on ALL of their games.

I'm really wish I could run it on PC so I could share in some of that but I always thought that at the very least my 360 versions would be stable and playable.

I was so very wrong...never before have I downloaded DLC and had it [censored] up my game so royally.

Just finished Dawnguard MQ and encountered no major bugs. I think I'm the lucky minority because between Morrowind, Oblivion, Fallout 3, and Skyrim I have never encountered any major bugs. And we are talking thousands of hours. New Vegas on the other hand was a bug infested disaster for me.

No you're not in the minority, I believe you're in the vast majority of people who have a great dlc (myself included). But there are genuine problems with some other people apparently, hopefully it gets a speedy fix :)
