I didn't see it mentioned in the trailer that there are only three home's to build. Did Bethesda tweet about it or something?

That's actually a good point.

I think in the trailer it shows 3 different homes, so people are just saying there is only 3. I don't think Bethesda would show all of the content in one trailer.

We know we can build in three different holds, no one said anything about the houses quantity.

You can do multiple plots and such. I believe each house will look exactly the same, inside and out, after you upgrade and put all the furniture in it.

I'm not even sure you can build three. From what I understand, there are purchasable plots of land in three holds, giving you a choice of three sites to build a home on. But you may only be able to purchase one.

There will probably be a low amount of houses to build, these will be small, maybe medium, and large, but i have a feeling that when each is upgraded to its full everyone's house will look the same anyway..
