in place of beds. I suppose it could be viewed as more common an item then a bee farm, wine cellar, or personal carriage. So I don't see why not.

Due to the dependencies that would be required between the two DLC, there probably will not be that option, unless a PC mod introduces something similar.

I hope we can have some coffins for the children. A queen sized safety coffin for mommy and daddy would be wonderful.

Seriously, though. I wouldn't mind having a coffin in the game for a bed.

with all the work they did with vamps in the last dlc they might. Would be pretty sweet if you got multiple styles of beds/furniture to pick from instead of master/single/bedroll beds only

I don't think they use coffins in Skyrim. They seem to prefer catacombs.

Normally, I'd agree with this assessment. However, vampires are part of the vanilla game too and I can see reasons why they might want a similar feature if they lack Dawnguard as well. The only thing they would have to do is add the model for the Dawnguard coffins into Hearthfire.

And I want my own herd of vampire cattle.
