Less Skysims and more like Mzinecraft?

Post » Fri Nov 16, 2012 12:59 am

Note: The 'Mzinecraft' is a reference to the Dwarven city, 'Mzinechaleft' which i always pronounce as Minecraft cause it looks like that word and its easier to say...'

I have seen so many people refer to Hearthfire as Sims like gameplay, but i have hardly heard anyone refer to Minecraft, which in my opinion is, if anything, where they got the idea from.. We have to go out and collect the recourses and building materials in order to build our house, this sounds more Minecraft than Sims doesnt it?...

Anyway, the point of this thread, (despite the confusing title), is will you be playing more like Sims, where you will buy all the recourses for your house instead, with your accumulated fortune, or will you do it the hard way, like Minecraft, and go aquire and make the building materials yourself?

I think, despite the fact i have ammased quite a fortune myself, i will go out and get all the materials and recourses myself, i think it would just make the house seem like much more of an accomplishment when i finish :3

Hasn't anyone played Morrowind where you have to build your own Stronghold? Hire Builders, Get the Land Permit, Obtain Guards? I fail to see the "Sims" or the "Minecraft" part of it, it reminds me of one of my best things in Morrowind when you build the Stonghold

I'm an oblivion skyrim starter. What of it? I didnt play morrowind til a little after. Thats got nothing to do with anything, especially since a lot of the "trolls" are mainly those who say morrowind is way better than Skyrim, which I dont think is true. Its good, but Skyrim as a whole is better in my op. What's it matter who played which game first?

Meanwhile Nesmith, a fan of the popular game Minecraft, wanted players to have more ways to create content in the game. "Being a fan of [Minecraft], I asked, ‘Why can't I build things in our game?'"

So fishy sticks to you for noticing the resemblance, Fin Kruziik Kel :miner:

Back to the question of whether I'm going to acquire the materials myself or use my wealth to buy them, probably a little bit of both.

How come building a house has to be an idea directly from another game?

actually they are making it more like an actual elder scrolls game. house building was something from morrowind that they are finally putting back in. all this sims/minecraft crap is just that, a bunch of crap.

I only ever played the demo of that game but i wanted it so badly..

People seem to be getting a little high strung.. you guys wanna know the truth? This thread was created as an excuse to use the word Skysims... and i thought i would try and make a genuine thread out of it... thats all.. lets all stop [censored]ing .. k?

Or Never Winter Nights 2. The whole "obtain castle, raise private army" has been around a while.

Skyrim is like Legend of Zelda a link to the past, because there's swords, shields bows and magic. You fight Ganon in another realm, Therefore Ganon is a Daedric Prince.

I dont think consoles could handle a minecraft building system in a game like Skyrim.

maybe if your PC can run a 10,000+x10,000+ pixel texture pack for minecraft
