I havn't completed Dawnguard yet, the castle hasnt been refurbished or anything also, so just wondering, is it safe to store stuff in it before its refurbished?

I don't see why not. I store my stuff in the Vampire castle, and it's fine there. I would of thought it'd be the same for the Dawnguard.

I'm just wondering in case crate and chests and such get respawned when the fort gets refurbished later on... (or i assume it gets refurbished... theres a lot of spiderwebs..)

If you're around the castle a lot, you'll be fine. The DLC has been out for 6 hours. The chances of this being known by a bunch of people is slim.

I stored my potatoes in one of the barrels before.. I came back and nothing was different.

Where is Fort Dawnguard? (i haven't dawnguard yet, but i'm too curious) outside Skyrim? in the rift? over the rift's gate (near stendarr beacon) to morrowind?
