So i downloaded Dawnguard yesterday and for some reason when i talk to the guards i cant get them to give me the quest line. i have two different characters im playing one has received the quest but i dont want to play as that character. the other is a new character i just started and has only done a few of the main missions and for some reason i cant get the guards to give me the starter quest for dawnguard. I'm starting to really get aggravated and really want to play dawnguard as this new character and not my old. if any one can give me any help on my problem i would super appreciated it you have no idea lol.

Guards won't give you the quest before level 10. The only way you can get it before then is to run to Fort Dawnguard and start it manually.

Punch a guard in the face, and talk to him. It'll fix it.

To start the quest you have to assassinate Talos. Good luck.
