I installed Dawnguard last Weekend, leveled my Character and just started Dawnguard now. I am a sneaky char and wanted to use the Crossbow. As i equipped it I stumbled upon a fatal Bug. I am holding the Crossbow in my right Hand while my left Hand is free and I am able to hit with the left hand. The Crossbow is unusable. Even for Npcs.
I tried activating and deactivating all my mods. I tried it with and without Skse. I changed the loading order so Dawnguard.esm is at top. I searched the Forums but couldn't find a solution. Maybe someone else can help me?

Have you tried re-verifying your game files in steam? If that doesn't work, uninstall/reinstall Dawnguard.

So I did a complete reinstall of the game, because reinstalling only Dawnguard resulted in the same problem. I installed one Mod after another to Figure it out. But it was no mod that caused the Problem. The Problem is another.
When I install Skyrim I unpack all the .bsa. What was causing the bug was the Animations.bsa. After I extracted that, the bug appeared. If i delete the associated files, the bug disappears. So for all the ones who got the same problem: DONT EXTRACT THE ANIMATIOONS.BSA!
