Worth the Money?

Post » Thu Nov 15, 2012 11:50 pm

I like Skyrim, it's a pretty decent game. I also like the idea of Vampires and Werewolves, they're pretty cool.

But is Dawnstar worth 20 dollars? I disliked Skyrim Vamps, so are they better? Is it fun?

Just making sure I don't buy a disappointment.

Oh, definitely. You'll get more gameplay out of it than most $60 shooters.

It isnt as large as vanilla skyrim, but it is about 3 times the quality.

I would have happily payed 30 dollars for it.

Plus you get two new large areas to explore.

And yea, even though its just an expansion, its larger than most other full price games that come out today.

From what i can tell of other people who have played, it is definitley worth the 20 bucks. Most people have gotten 10< hours of gameplay out of it and that is just for the one side of the main quest, so for me when i thin about going to a movie and paying close to half the cost of the DLC and realize that I only get between 2-3 hours of entertainment that I can't go back and watch, I realize that its totally worth it

I have been playing it for about 40 hours already, and I am only half done.

It took me 30 hours to beat, and there's still side quests I haven't done I'm sure.

LOTS OF New Things for Vamps and Dawnguard.

But you know it's awesome when the Trailer gets more views than most Full Game trailers.

Yes it is worth it. I did not play the vampire side, only the Dawnguard side. I went through it 4 times during testing and there are still things I missed. It is breathtaking, exciting, and scarry in places to. There are times it made me mad and at level 43 there were times I picked my body up off the ground and hoped that my last save was not that far back.

So yes. It is worth it. Just for the Aetherium quest alone.

Ah crap, too late.

I bought a $10.00 Xbox Original Game.

Even worse, it;s not even the one I wanted.

Its amazing. Advice, empty your pockets often, use steed stone & get extra pockets perk. There is a place with a TON
of armor and weapons and its a long way before you can go unload. So try to have allot of free space.

But yes, 200% worth it. There was one point in the game where i was just dumbfounded for a whole hour because of
the epicness of a certain event. The views are also incredible, and finally bethesda made a b-e-a-utiful person.

I was hesitant to buy it too, but the beta testers all seemed so enthousiastic i bought it anyway.

Also, if you buy the msp packs at the right place, dawnguard is only 13,9 euro :)
