Prophecy Quest Glitch

Post » Thu Nov 15, 2012 12:46 pm

After I rescue the Moth Priest and he goes to the fort to meet you, no matter how many times I Re-Load my previous Saves, or how many times i reinstall the DLC the Priest remains hostile. Is there ANY way around this? My character is level 76 and i'm 15+ hours into Dawnguard and every one of my saves seems to suffer the same Glitch. :(

You're suppose to beat him into submission, use vampire seduction and then bite him >.> I believe the quest log tells you that

Well he said he already did that, it is when he brings him back to the fort the problem occurs.

Perhaps you can try to cast a calm spell on him to see if you can talk to him.

If he is going to the Fort, he'd be with the Dawnguard, so why would he use VP lord powers? Or did he mean castle? I just beat the Dawnguard side of the DLC!! I LOVED IT!!

I encountered the same bug. Dexion Evicus is always hostile when I enter Dawnguard Fort and is normally bested by the Dawngaurd members there. When I use healing spells on him to revive him he will be come hostile again and not respond to me trying to speak with him. I cannot get him to read the Elder Scroll and therefore cannot advance the quest. Is there anyway to get around this or am I going to have to wait for a patch?

This thing has been buggy from the very start. If all these bugs were found in the beta(there is no way they werent), why did they release this buggy piece of [censored] without fixing it first? I thought the purpose of a beta was to get these problems fixed BEFORE releasing.

The glitch seems to have fixed itself. I was wondering around Skyrim when a massage popped up saying that the Prophecy quest was over. The next quest in the story was made available at that time as well. However, when I went back to Dawnguard fort Dexion Evicus was still hostile to everything around him. Hopefully I don't have to deal with him for the rest of the DLC.
