Okay well I started a new game due to some problems of vampires killing off to many NPCs. Here is the problem. After I've finished editing my characters look and name just as I'm about to get my head cut off. The dragon fails to attack Helgan and just flys around in the background. This means on my screen I'm forced to look at the Imperials without being able to move or look around. I've even attempted it again like 3 times when the same thing happend. I then went to dashbored and it happend again. Nothing right now seems to fix it. This is a really bad bug.

I found the only way to get around this was to; Clear the cache. Play the game in offline mode, with no patch. Do the beginning then install the patch after Helgen.

Just to add to what was said above if you have a usb you can just move the updates to it and play offline until you're out of helgen, it'll also stop you from having to re-download every update.

Thanks that worked for me. Now I just need to find a way to stop the vampire attacks killing the NPCs.
