Can't Buy Dawnguard in Mexico >:(

Post » Fri Nov 16, 2012 1:29 am

As the day came, it is time to rejoice about the Dawnguard release, but something really ticks me off, and that is the price.

Here in Mexico, there is only two types of xbox live points cards, the 1500 and the 4000 one, very stupid if I'm allowed to say it.

1500! I'm as close as 100 points! What the hell! Can I expect a points price drop for the DLC or am I going to be forced to buy the 4000 one even though I don't have enough cash?

Hmm, that's really strange that they only have cards that go up to 1500 and not an even 1600. 1600 points is the equivalent of $20 so it would only make sense to have them at that.

Anyway, Dawnguard literally just came out so there won't be a drop in the price for a long long time. Usually not until the game of the year edition comes out which always includes all the DLC well after they have released everything. You don't happen to have an extra 100 points already in your account left over from an old purchase would ya? If not, unfortunately it looks like you're going to have to get the 4000 point card.

Most cards do not seem to come in a convenient number of points, although at least buying the points online I can get close with 2000, sorry now I never went for a higher one though since I am going to have to buy another 2000 for the next DLC anyway. Or go buy a 1500 card. If you can afford it maybe you should just buy the 4000 points card RedMatador you can buy both DLC packs and have something left over for something else. Otherwise you are going to end up buying 3 1500 cards which would probably cost more.

The title is a bit misleading? You can still buy the DLC in Mexico, just cannot afford it? They are not likely to be lowering the price any time soon.
