How do I smith arrows? : V

So I'm told I can smith arrows now, but I don't have the option. I just downloaded Dawnguard, what's the issue?

[If possible PLEASE no spoilers]

Also sorry if this has been posted, I didn't see one so I assumed it hadn't.

No you don't. The add-on just has to be downloaded.

In order to smith arrows, you need the relevant smithing perk. I.E, to make elven arrows, you need the Elven Smithing Perk. To make crossbow bolts, however, you have to join the Dawnguard and do specific sidequests for them, and have steel smithing for the Steel bolts, and Dwarven smithing for the dwarven bolts.
